Canterbury Park (Quarter Horse) DERBY
Purse $25,000. Four Hundred Yards. (Includes $5,000 – MBF - Minnesota Breeders Fund). For Quarter Horses, Three Years Old Which Are Registered Minnesota Breds. Free nomination by Thursday, June 4. $250 to enter, $250 additional to start. Supplemental nominations of $1,000 will be accepted at time of entry which shall include all fees. Purse $29,000 (Includes $5,000 from the MQHRA) (Includes $5,000 from the Minnesota Breeders' Fund) of which 45% to the owner of the winner, 17% to second, 10% to third, 7% to fourth, 6% to fifth, 5% to sixth, 4% to seventh and 2% each to eighth, ninth and tenth. Weights: 125 Lbs. Starters to be named through the entry box by the usual time of closing. The North Star State Derby will be limited to ten (10) starters. Preference to horses with the highest total earnings at time of entry. Canterbury Park reserves the right to refuse any nomination or entry into this race or to cancel, change or postpone this race. Failure to draw into the race will cancel all fees. A trophy will be presented to the winning owner. The final purse will be reduced by the cost of any Out of Competition testing required by the Minnesota Racing Commission as a condition of competing in this race. Nominations closed Thursday, June 4 with 8.
